About the place

The four-seat chairlift, built in 2004, climbs from the edge of town to Clăbucet Plecare at about 1,450 m. From there the Clăbucet run is of medium difficulty, while Cocoșul and Sub Telescaun are harder; down by the town, Clăbucet Sosire and Clăbucet Variantă are easy and served by a drag lift. The chairlift and drag lift are run by Genetrix, which also sells separate passes for evening skiing.

Ahead of EYOF (14–21 February 2027), the town hall signed contracts in 2026 to rebuild the snowmaking network and the slopes, and is preparing a new chairlift for Clăbucet Sosire and Variantă. On 7 November 2026 no opening date for the ski season had been announced; until then the chairlift runs only on Saturdays and Sundays, with the last ride up at 15:30, and the drag lift is closed.
