It is the easiest trip into the mountains from Predeal: you can drive right up, and walks start here towards Poiana Secuilor and Pârâul Rece.
About the place
The hut stands at 1,128 m on the Morarului ridge at the foot of the Postăvarul massif, in a forested area. It has 21 rooms and apartments, a 120-seat restaurant, a terrace just as large and a small wine cellar, and Romanian food is served in clay dishes, according to its website.
Walks through the forest start here: on the trail marked with a yellow stripe you reach Poiana Secuilor in about 20 minutes, and from above you look down on the Pârâul Rece valley, about half an hour away on foot. The hut has published offers for Christmas 2026 and New Year 2027.
